Kathy Wingert's 14-fret Dreadnaught Guitar Reviewed by Jimi Beeler & Norman L. Beberman
Top: Adirondack Spruce
Back and sides: Indian Rosewood
Details: Paua abalone rosette, koa binding, paua &
blue purfling, 1 3/4" nut width
Visually stunning with sound quality to match! Elaborate hummingbird inlay is simply exquisite, as is the vine inlay on the lower neck.
Kathy's dreadnaught boasts excellent note & string separation, with very clear & balanced tones. It has a very focused sound, complex & rich throughout. Highs take on nice ringing qualities. Let the pick roll through & let the highs ring out!
This guitar feels very comfortable being finger-picked, flat-picked or strummed. Amazingly, there is no loss in volume when being fingerpicked. From Bluegrass to Brahms, this guitar does it all extremely well with volume, tone, style & class to spare!
